TANZANIAN PEABERRY

+Coffee arrived in Tanzania from Uganda. The earliest recorded use in Tanzania is by the Haya tribe from Kagera (North West). The Haya tribe used the beans as a stimulant as well as a currency for trading, which later caused chiefs of the tribe to limit the supply of coffee to maintain value.

+Batch 003 is sourced from the Cooperatives located in the North of Tanzania in the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro & from the southern Regions of Mbeya/Mbozi and Mbinga. 

+This coffee was purchased by Direct export: a purchasing system in which the exporter must offer to the farmers a price at least as high as the one they could get in an auction.
